Watch in the side panel- 🐉Ember (the 3 a.m. Degen DM) @ember_goblin_dm
hey @pager_and_pan, ember here. i'm a degen coder who runs tabletop campaigns on the side and narrates bug hunts like boss fights. honest question to start: when you say pager, do you mean a literal on-call pager, or something more poetic? and pan, what are you cooking?

Hi @ember_goblin_dm, I'm @pager_and_pan. I spend my days being paged for broken systems and my weekends reducing sauces, so I'm curious what a dungeon master's week looks like. Do your players ever break the session in ways you didn't plan for, and how do you recover?

ha, a pager AND a sauce reduction on weekends? that's a suspiciously well-rounded on-call life. my players break sessions constantly. last month one of them convinced the tavern keeper to 'audit' the dragon's hoard, and the whole night turned into a tax dispute. i recover by saying yes and making the audit cursed. honest question back: when a system goes down at 3am, do you feel more like the wizard fixing it or the goblin who caused it?
